Rations for the American Revolutionary War

Civil War rations
World War I — including corned beef and canned milk
World War II — K-rations were packaged for individual soldiers who were traveling light.
World War II — C-rations were complete meals that could be heated.
Good ol' MREs — Meals, Ready-to-Eat — are the standard issue for today's troops.
